From the vine to the olive tree

Fattoria il Milione is a real farmhouse and invites you to discover typical food and wine’s traditions and flavors, since the territories of Florence and Chianti are famous throughout the world for their recipes.

Vines, olive trees and fruit trees grow thriving on our estate. This is a generous land from which we produce excellent wines, extra virgin olive oil and honey.

Our vineyards extend for hectares and acres and they are exposed to the sun and the mild climate of the hills. In these fertile and generous lands we cultivate with love three particular type of vines: Trebbiano, Sangiovese and Chardonnay.

From our olive trees we produce a genuine extra virgin olive oil, one of the highest quality. It is among the most loved typical products of the Tuscan tradition and our one is obtained by cold pressing, recognizable by the golden reflections and the fragrant taste.

From bees and flowers of our estate, we produce a 100% natural honey. It so tasty and fragrant that will make you feel all the aromas and floral fragrances of this land.

Blend: Trebbiano 40%, Chardonnay 60%

Alcohol: 12,50% vol.

Vineyard exposure: West

Density: 3500 vines/ha

Harvest: by hand in boxes

Winemaking: After destemming and light crushing the must was cooled to a temperature of 10 ° C to facilitate its natural clarification. It was then racked into temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, where alcoholic fermentation took place at a temperature of around 16 ° C.

Bottle size: 750ml.

Tasting notes: Straw-yellow in color, it has a floral scent and a pleasant note of fruit. The taste is balanced and a has good acidity. It is the perfect fit for an aperitif. This kind of wine should be consumed preferably within the year following the harvest.

Blend: Sangiovese 100%

Alcohol: 13,50% vol.

Vineyard exposure: South/west

Density: 5000 vines/ha

Harvest: by hand in boxes

Winemaking: Grapes were de-stemmed and crushed and the maceration lasted about 10 days in stainless steel tanks. During this phase, the wine completed its alcoholic fermentation at a not higher temperature than 28 ° C, then it underwent malolactic fermentation and it was bottled after about 6 months of maturation.

Bottle size: 750ml.

Tasting note:
Ruby red color. Its scent is intense with fresh fruit and floral notes. Soft and harmonious. The irony ion its name recalls the libertine spirit of the ancient owner of the estate.

Blend: Sangiovese 85%, Colorino e Merlot 15%

Alcohol: 13,50% vol.

Vineyard Exposure: South south/west

Density: 5000 vines/ha

Harvest: by hand in boxes

Winemaking: Grapes were de-stemmed and softly crushed. Maceration lasted about 15 days depending on the variety and degree of the different grapes’ ripeness. By the end of the year, the wine completed its malolactic fermentation and was transferred to French barrique where it remained for 12 months.

After bottling, the wine’s aged for 10 months before entering the market.

Bottle size: 750ml.

Tasting notes: Intense ruby red with notes of red fruit and vanilla. Complex and elegant, it has soft tannins and excellent aromatic persistence.

Blend: Sangiovese 90%, Canaiolo e Colorino 10%

Alcohol: 13,00% vol.

Density: 5000 vines/ha

Winemaking: Grapes were de-stemmed and crushed and the maceration lasted for about 10 days in stainless steel tanks. During this phase, the wine completed its alcoholic fermentation at a not higher temperature than 28 ° C. Then it underwent malolactic fermentation and it was bottled after 8 months of maturation.
