THE ESTATE

A PARADISE AMONG PANORAMIC HILLS

4 SMALL VILLAGES OVERLOOKING FLORENCE

Set in a 50-hectare estate planted with vines and olive trees on a panoramic hillside 7 km from Florence are 4 stone hamlets. They are connected by scenic lanes and lush gardens, and within them are the apartments.

Villa di Poggio Arniano is the oldest nucleus of The Estate and its construction dates back to the 1300s. The intimate atmosphere of the stone courtyard and indoor garden where breakfast is served in summer, the large braziers and large marble tables reflect the value of this historic residence. It houses apartments of various sizes with a rustic and eclectic flavor, and some provide unforgettable views of the surrounding hills and the ancient monastery of the Florence Charterhouse.

The Borgo de La Stecca consists of two structures with a unique character surrounded by olive trees: it accommodates vacation homes for 2 or 3 people, with private outdoor space just a stone’s throw from the swimming pool and tennis court.

Silence and privacy reign in the Borgo de I Rossi, with its large stone courtyard and herb corner, braziers and garden dotted with olive trees overlooking the valley. The largest solutions for up to 6 people can be found here.

The Borgo de Le Pergole offers a dreamy view of the Tuscan countryside with Brunelleschi’s Dome and the hill of Fiesole as its backdrop: it is housed in an old farmhouse perched on the highest knoll of the estate in the same building as L’Osteria del Milione restaurant.

Wherever your apartment is located you will be transported to a timeless dimension.

NATURE THAT ENVELOPS YOU

The charm of the Tuscan countryside makes you forget you are just a stone’s throw from the center of Florence, and the explosion of colorful flowers in spring enchants the senses.
Everything here is authentic and pristine.
Wild animals such as families of fawns, wild boars, squirrels, hares, small birds of prey and water turtles live here in total freedom in the ponds near the valley.
Here we live in harmony with nature and each season brings its delicacies–to be tasted! Fruit trees grow in the park (apricots, plums, loquats, walnut cherries, almonds, figs, pomegranates, mulberries, and blackberries), and a delightful corner of aromatic plants is cultivated in the Borgo de I Rossi.

A TIMELESS ART

An open-air museum and an atmosphere suspended in time. A private collection of artworks without origin, scattered around the Estate or placed as adornment and furnishings in the apartments. Semi-hidden sculptures, wall statues, totally frescoed walls or paintings carved in stone. Unique details, such as the life-size statue of the seven children towering over the lake.

A famous Florentine craftsman, the Argentiere Brandimarte, who liked to call himself a shepherd, a stone quarryman and only finally a silversmith, made this estate a true artistic home.

The villages were home to young artists who went to Florence for studies, leaving here the signature of their creative passion that can still be seen today.
